For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.

For God shows no partiality.

but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

[1] As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions.[2] One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables.

[24] And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,[25] not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

[35] Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.[36] But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe.[37] All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.

[12] Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,[13] bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.[14] And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

[38] "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.'[39] But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.[40] And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well.[41] And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.[42] Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.

[34] Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.[35] For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,[36] I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.'[37] Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?[38] And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?[39] And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?'[40] And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'

[۱] We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves.[۲] Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.[۳] For Christ did not please himself, but as it is written, "The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me."[۴] For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.[۵] May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus,[۶] that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.[۷] Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
