Isaiah 41:1-29
1. Be still (ye Islands) and harken unto me. Be strong ye people; Come hither, and shew your cause, we will go to the law together.
2. Who raiseth up the just from the rising of the Sun,(Sonne) and calleth him to go forth? Who casteth down the people, and subdueth the kings before him: that he may throw them all to the ground with his sword, and scatter them like stubble with his bow.
3. He followeth upon them, and goeth safely himself, and cometh in no foot path with his feet.
4. Who hath made, created, and called the generations from the beginning? Even I the LORD, which am the first, and with the last.
5. Behold ye Isles? that ye may fear, and ye ends of the earth, that ye may be abashed, draw nigh, and come hither.
6. Every man hath exhorted his neighbour, and brother, and bidden him be strong.
7. The Smith comforted the molder, and the Ironsmith the hammer man, saying: It shall be good, that we fasten this cast work: and then they fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved.
8. And thou Israel, my servant: Jacob my elect seed of Abraham my beloved,
9. whom I led from the ends of the earth by the hand: For I called thee from far, and said unto thee: Thou shalt be my servant: I have chosen thee, and will not cast thee away:
10. be not afraid, for I will be with thee. Look not behind thee, for I will be thy God, to strengthen thee, help thee, and to keep thee with this right hand of mine.
11. Behold, all they that resist thee, shall come to confusion and shame: and thine adversaries shall be destroyed and brought to naught.
12. So that who so seeketh after them, shall not find them. Thy destroyers shall perish, and so shall they that undertake to make battle against thee.
13. For I thy LORD and God, will strengthen thy right hand. Even I that say unto thee: Fear not. I will help thee.
14. Be not afraid thou little worm Jacob, and thou despised Israel for I will help thee, sayeth the LORD, and the holy one of Israel thine avenger.
15. Behold, I will make thee a treading cart and a new flayle, that thou mayest thresh(throsh) and grind the mountains, and bring the hills to powder.
16. Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them. But thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shall delight in praising the holy one of Israel.
17. When the thirsty and poor seek water, and find none, and when their tongue is dry of thirst: I give it them sayeth the LORD. I the God of Israel forsake them not.
18. I bring forth floods in the hills, and wells in the plain fields. I turn the wilderness to rivers, and the dry land to conduites(condites) of water.
19. I plant in the waste ground trees of Cedar, Box, Mire and Olives. And in the dry I set Fir trees, Elms, and Hawthorns together.
20. All this do I, that they altogether may see a mark, perceive with their hearts and consider, that the hand of the LORD maketh these things, and that the holy one of Israel bringeth them to pass.
21. Stand at your cause (sayeth the LORD) and bring forth your strongest ground, counseleth the King of Jacob.
22. Let the gods come forth themselves, and shew us the things that are past, what they be: let them declare them unto us, that we may take them to heart, and know them hereafter.
23. Either, let them shew us things for to come, and tell us what shall be done hereafter: so shall we know, that they be gods. Shew something, either good or bad: so will we both knowledge the same, and tell it out.
24. Behold, ye gods are of naught, and your making is of naught, but abomination hath chosen you.
25. Nevertheless, I have waked up one from the North, and he shall come. And another from the East, which shall call upon my name, and shall come to the princes, as the Potter to his clay, and as the Potter treadeth down the mire.
26. Who told that afore? So will we confess and say, that he is righteous. But there is none that sheweth or declareth anything, there is none also that heareth your words.
27. Behold, I will first grant them of Sion and Jerusalem to be Evangelists.
28. But when I consider: there is not one among them that prophesieth, neither (when I ask him) that answereth one word;
29. Lo, wicked are they and vain, with the things also that they take in hand: yea wind are they, and emptiness, with their images together.

Isaiah 42:1-25
1. Behold now therefore, this is my servant whom I will keep to myself: mine elect; In whom my soul shall be pacified. I will give him my spirit, that he may shew forth judgement and equity among the Gentiles.
2. He shall not be an outcrier, nor an high minded person. His voice shall not be heard in the streets.
3. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: but faithfully and truly shall he give judgement.
4. He shall neither be overseen nor hasty, that he may restore righteousness unto the earth: and the Gentiles also shall keep his laws.
5. For thus sayeth God the LORD unto him (even he that made the heavens, and spread them abroad, and set forth the earth with her increase: which giveth breath unto the people that is in it, and to them that dwell therein)
6. I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and led thee by the hand. Therefore will I also defend thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, and to be the light of the Gentiles.
7. That thou mayest open the eyes of the blind, let out the prisoners, and them that sit in darkness, out of the dungeon house.
8. I my self, whose name is the LORD, which give my power to none other, neither mine honour to the gods:
9. Shew you these new tidings, and tell you them or they come, for old things also are come to pass.
10. Sing therefore unto the LORD, a new song of thanks giving, blow out his praise unto the end of the world. They that be upon the sea, and all that is therein, praise him, the Isles and they that dwell in them.
11. Let the wilderness with her cities lift up her voice, the towns also that be in Cedar. Let them be glad that sit upon rocks of stone, and let them cry down from the high mountains:
12. ascribing almightiness unto the LORD, and magnifying him among the Gentiles.
13. The LORD shall come forth as a giant, and take a stomach to himself like a fresh man of war. He shall roar and cry, and overcome his enemies.
14. I have long time holden my peace, (sayeth the LORD) should I therefore be still, and keep silence for ever? I will cry like a travailing woman, and once will I destroy, and devour.
15. I will make waste both mountain and hill, and dry up every green thing that groweth thereon. I will dry up the floods of water, and drink up the rivers.
16. I will bring the blind into the street, that they know not: and lead them in to a foot path, that they are ignorant in. I shall make darkness light before them, and the thing that is crooked to be straight. These things will I do, and not forget them.
17. And therefore let them convert, and be ashamed earnestly, that hope in Idols, and say to fashioned images: ye are our gods.
18. Hear, O ye deaf men, and sharpen your sights to see (O ye blind)
19. But who is blinder, than my servant? Or so deaf, as my messengers, whom I send unto thee? For who is so blind as my people, and they that have the rule of them?(For who is so blind (fay they) as the perfect man and so blind as the LORD's servant?)
20. They are like, as if thou understoodest much, and keptest nothing: or if one heard well, but were not obedient.
21. The LORD be merciful unto them for his righteousness' sake, that his word might be magnified and praised.
22. But it is a mischevious and wicked people. Their young men belong all to the snare, and shall be shut into prison houses. They shall be carried away captive, and no man shall loosen(lowse) them. They shall be trodden under foot, and no man shall labour to bring them again.
23. But who is he among you, that pondereth this in his mind, that considereth it, and taketh it for a warning in time to come?
24. Who suffered Jacob to be trodden under foot, and Israel to be spoiled? Did not the LORD? Now have we sinned against him, and have had no delight to walk in his ways, neither been obedient unto his law.
25. Therefore hath he poured upon us his wrathful displeasure, and strong battle, which maketh us have to do on every side, yet will we not understand: He burneth us up, yet sinketh it not in to our hearts.

Psalms 109:26-31
26. Help me, O LORD my God, oh save me for thy mercies' sake.
27. That they may know, how that this is thy hand, and that thou hast done it.
28. Though they curse, yet bless thou: and let them be confounded, that rise up against me, but let thy servant rejoice.
29. Let mine adversaries be clothed with their own shame, as with a cloak.
30. As for me, I will give thanks unto the LORD with my mouth, and praise him among the multitude.
31. For he standeth at the right hand of the poor, to save him from such as condemn his soul.

Proverbs 26:3-4
3. Unto the horse belongeth a whip, to the Ass a bridle, and a rod to the fool's back.
4. Give not the fool an answer after his foolishness, lest thou become like unto him:

Galatians 3:1-29
1. O foolish Galatians: who hath bewitched you, that ye should not believe the truth? to whom Jesus Christ was described before the eyes, and among you crucified?
2. This only would I learn of you, received ye the spirit by the deeds of the law? or else by preaching of the faith?
3. Are ye so unwise, that after ye have begun in the spirit, ye would now end in the flesh?
4. So many things (there) ye have suffered in vain. If it be so that ye have suffered in vain.(,if that be in vain.)
5. Which ministered to(He that giveth) you the spirit, and worketh miracles(doth such great acts) among you doth he it thorow the deeds of the law? or by preaching of the faith?
6. Even as Abraham believed God, and it was ascribed to him for righteousness.
7. Understand therefore,(Thus ye know) that they which are of faith, (the same) are the children of Abraham.
8. (For) The scripture saw aforehand, that God would justify the heathen thorow faith, and (therefore) shewed beforehand glad tidings unto Abraham: In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9. So then they which be of faith, are blessed with faithful Abraham.
10. For as many as are under the deeds(as go about with the works) of the law, are under malediction.(curse) For it is written: cursed is every man that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to fulfil(do) them.
11. That no man is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident. For the just shall live by faith.
12. The law is not of faith: but the man that fulfilleth the things contained in the law, shall live in them.(but the man that doth the same, shall live therein)
13. (But) Christ hath delivered us from the curse of the law, and was made a cursed for us (for it is written: Cursed is everyone that hangeth on tree)
14. that the blessing of Abraham might come on the gentiles thorow Jesus Christ, (and) that we might receive the promise of the spirit thorow faith.
15. Brethren I will speak after the manner of men. Though it be but a man's testament, yet no man despiseth it, or addeth any thing thereto when it is once allowed.(confrimed)
16. To Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith(seyth) not, in thy(the) seeds as in many: But in thy seed, as in one, which is Christ.
17. This I say that the law which began afterward, beyond four hundred and thirty years, doth not disannul the testament, that was confirmed (afore) of God unto Christ ward, to make the promise of none effect.
18. For if the inheritance come of the law, it cometh not of promise: but God gave it unto Abraham by promise.
19. Wherefore then serveth the law? The law was added because of transgression (till the seed came to which the promise was made) and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.(given of angels, by the hand of the mediatour)
20. A mediator is not a mediator of one.(of one only) But God is one.
21. Is the law then against the promise of God? God forbid. (Howbeit) If there had been a law given which could have given life: then no doubt righteousness should have come by the law:
22. but the scripture concluded all things under sin, that the promise by the faith of Jesus Christ, should be given unto them that believe.
23. Before that faith came, we were kept and shut up under the law, unto the faith which should afterward be declared.
24. Wherefore(Thus) the law was our schoolmaster unto the time of Christ, that we might be made righteous by faith.
25. But after that faith is come, now are we no longer under a schoolmaster.(no more under the schoolmaster)
26. For ye are all the sons(children) of God, by the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
27. For all ye that(For as many of you as) are baptised, have put Christ on you.(put on Christ.)
28. Now is there no jew, neither greek:(is ther no Iewe nether gentile:) there is neither(nether) bond, neither(ner) free: there is neither man, neither(ner) woman: for all are one thing in Christ Jesu.(but ye are all one thing in Christ Iesu)
29. If ye be Christ's,(Christes) then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs by promise.(according to the promise)
