2 Samuel ۹:۱-۱۳
۱. And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathans sake?
۲. And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba, and they called him unto David; and the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.
۳. And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, who is lame of his feet.
۴. And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar.
۵. Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo-debar.
۶. And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came unto David, and fell on his face, and did obeisance. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold, thy servant!
۷. And David said unto him, Fear not; for I will surely show thee kindness for Jonathan thy fathers sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.
۸. And he did obeisance, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?
۹. Then the king called to Ziba, Sauls servant, and said unto him, All that pertained to Saul and to all his house have I given unto thy masters son.
۱۰. And thou shalt till the land for him, thou, and thy sons, and thy servants; and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy masters son may have bread to eat: but Mephibosheth thy masters son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
۱۱. Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king commandeth his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the kings sons.
۱۲. And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Mica. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.
۱۳. So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem; for he did eat continually at the kings table. And he was lame in both his feet.

2 Samuel ۱۰:۱-۱۹
۱. And it came to pass after this, that the king of the children of Ammon died, and Hanun his son reigned in his stead.
۲. And David said, I will show kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness unto me. So David sent by his servants to comfort him concerning his father. And Davids servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.
۳. But the princes of the children of Ammon said unto Hanun their lord, Thinkest thou that David doth honor thy father, in that he hath sent comforters unto thee? hath not David sent his servants unto thee to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it?
۴. So Hanun took Davids servants, and shaved off the one half of their beards, and cut off their garments in the middle, even to their buttocks, and sent them away.
۵. When they told it unto David, he sent to meet them; for the men were greatly ashamed. And the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return.
۶. And when the children of Ammon saw that they were become odious to David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Beth-rehob, and the Syrians of Zobah, twenty thousand footmen, and the king of Maacah with a thousand men, and the men of Tob twelve thousand men.
۷. And when David heard of it, he sent Joab, and all the host of the mighty men.
۸. And the children of Ammon came out, and put the battle in array at the entrance of the gate: and the Syrians of Zobah and of Rehob, and the men of Tob and Maacah, were by themselves in the field.
۹. Now when Joab saw that the battle was set against him before and behind, he chose of all the choice men of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians:
۱۰. And the rest of the people he committed into the hand of Abishai his brother; and he put them in array against the children of Ammon.
۱۱. And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then thou shalt help me; but if the children of Ammon be too strong for thee, then I will come and help thee.
۱۲. Be of good courage, and let us play the man for ou people, and for the cities of our God: and Jehovah do that which seemeth him good.
۱۳. So Joab and the people that were with him drew nigh unto the battle against the Syrians: and they fled before him.
۱۴. And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were fled, they likewise fled before Abishai, and entered into the city. Then Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.
۱۵. And when the Syrians saw that they were put to the worse before Israel, they gathered themselves together.
۱۶. And Hadarezer sent, and brought out the Syrians that were beyond the River: and they came to Helam, with Shobach the captain of the host of Hadarezer at their head.
۱۷. And it was told David; and he gathered all Israel together, and passed over the Jordan, and came to Helam. And the Syrians set themselves in array against David, and fought with him.
۱۸. And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew of the Syrians the men of seven hundred chariots, and forty thousand horsemen, and smote Shobach the captain of their host, so that he died there.
۱۹. And when all the kings that were servants to Hadarezer saw that they were put to the worse before Israel, they made peace with Israel, and served them. So the Syrians feared to help the children of Ammon any more.

Psalms ۶۵:۱-۸
۱. Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion; And unto thee shall the vow be performed.
۲. O thou that hearest prayer, Unto thee shall all flesh come.
۳. Iniquities prevail against me: As for our transgressions, thou wilt forgive them.
۴. Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, That he may dwell in thy courts: We shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, Thy holy temple.
۵. By terrible things thou wilt answer us in righteousness, Oh God of our salvation, Thou that art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of them that are afar off upon the sea:
۶. Who by his strength setteth fast the mountains, Being girded about with might;
۷. Who stilleth the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples.
۸. They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: Thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

Proverbs ۱۶:۲۰-۲۱
۲۰. He that giveth heed unto the word shall find good; And whoso trusteth in Jehovah, happy is he.
۲۱. The wise in heart shall be called prudent; And the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.

John ۶:۱-۲۱
۱. After these things Jesus went away to the other side of the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.
۲. And a great multitude followed him, because they beheld the signs which he did on them that were sick.
۳. And Jesus went up into the mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
۴. Now the passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand.
۵. Jesus therefore lifting up his eyes, and seeing that a great multitude cometh unto him, saith unto Philip, Whence are we to buy bread, that these may eat?
۶. And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.
۷. Philip answered him, Two hundred shillings worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one may take a little.
۸. One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peters brother, saith unto him,
۹. There is a lad here, who hath five barley loaves, and two fishes: but what are these among so many?
۱۰. Jesus said, Make the people sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
۱۱. Jesus therefore took the loaves; and having given thanks, he distributed to them that were set down; likewise also of the fishes as much as they would.
۱۲. And when they were filled, he saith unto his disciples, Gather up the broken pieces which remain over, that nothing be lost.
۱۳. So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which remained over unto them that had eaten.
۱۴. When therefore the people saw the sign which he did, they said, This is of a truth the prophet that cometh into the world.
۱۵. Jesus therefore perceiving that they were about to come and take him by force, to make him king, withdrew again into the mountain himself alone.
۱۶. And when evening came, his disciples went down unto the sea;
۱۷. and they entered into a boat, and were going over the sea unto Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
۱۸. And the sea was rising by reason of a great wind that blew.
۱۹. When therefore they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they behold Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the boat: and they were afraid.
۲۰. But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.
۲۱. They were willing therefore to receive him into the boat: and straightway the boat was at the land whither they were going.
